Taylor Deglint

Taylor is a warm and upbeat individual who loves to provide creative and personalized therapy for her clients. She works closely with families throughout therapy, from setting goals to brainstorming ways to practice at home.

Taylor graduated from her Masters in Speech Language Pathology in 2018. After graduation, she began working with the Preschool Speech and Language Program in Guelph as well as private practice. She has experience working with a wide range of speech and language concerns for preschool and school-aged children – expressive and receptive language delays, motor speech & apraxia of speech, articulation, phonology, and fluency.

Taylor has training in PSL Motor Speech 101, PSL Fluency 101, is certified in Hanen© It Takes Two to Talk© and is PROMPT trained. Taylor has an appreciation for research and using evidence-based approaches, having completed child language research during her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo. Recently, research she was involved with was published in the Canadian Journal for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA) and received the 2020 Editor’s Award for Best Paper.

Taylor works part-time for Pathways. She lives in Waterloo with her husband and is excited to be offering speech and language services in her community. When she is not working, you will find her tending to her vegetable garden in the summer, trying out a new dinner recipe or finishing her latest renovation project around the house.

Taylor is currently on maternity leave, but will be returning in July 2023!
